Overview:
The Surf Life Saving NSW Flexible Delivery course in Senior First Aid (Work Cover Authority approval FA04151) combines a ONE DAY CLASSROOM BASED TRAINING and individual ONLINE WORKBOOK or HARD COPY WORKBOOK learning to deliver the essential principals, skills and knowledge for you to manage emergency first aid situations until professional medical support is available. This course is ideal for people who are unable to spend two days away from their commitments.
Workbook Option:
Students are provided with a manual and separate workbook to be completed prior to participating in the classroom component. The workbook consists of multiple choice & short answer questions – information containing answers to these questions are contained in the manual supplied. Workbooks must be completed prior to the classroom delivery and handed to the trainer on course day.
On successful completion of workbook component, students must attend a one day (7 hour) classroom delivery.
On-Line Option:
To use this option, students must have computer access. Users are provided with a registration and password to gain access to the online site. Questions are multiple choice. The participant works through each assessment section and cannot progress to the next section until the required score is achieved. There are unlimited opportunities for further attempts at incorrect answers and feedback is immediate. Although an online manual is available on the site, a hard copy manual is provided for easier access to the required information. This component must be completed prior to classroom delivery.
On successful completion of workbook component, students must attend a one day (6 hour) classroom delivery.
