ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING.
20th July 2008
Meeting Opened: 11.30.am.
Previous minutes read by Steve Marley accepted Richard Black seconded Paul Bolton meeting carried.
Presidents Report:
Steve welcomed members and Steve Knight from Branch. Congratulated and thanked everyone for the season Congratulated the IRB team for their great efforts for the season, Bronze medals for the Premier and State rounds.
Please that every section of our club working well some hiccups but overall a terrific season. Also new management plan issued from Branch regarding small and medium clubs which the Executive will view over the next month.
Steve declared all positions opened and Steve Knight from Branch address the meeting overall Hunter Branch Clubs saved over 3000 beach goers. Interbranch carnival that will be held at Catho in December a big plus for our Club and he knows we will do a great job. Well done.

Steve congratulated all on their new positions and handed the meeting over to the President for 2008-2009 Steve Marley.
Treasurers Report:
Paul spoke on a good season. We had purchased new quad and motors without touching our investment account. Thanked Lake Macquarie City Council for their maintenance grants for building, vehicle IRB and administration. Looking forward to next season. Report accepted Richard Black and Paul Drake meeting carried.
Recommendations for the fees for the new season:
Bronze Awards $130.00
SRC $50.00
Active Membership non competitive $40.00
Membership fees deferred to notification from branch regarding entry fees.
Executive to discussed and bring recommendations to the next meeting.
General Business:
Life Membership nomination received will be given to the Committee and Executive for consideration.
Patrols: all patrolling members must wear full uniform including skull caps if not will not go on Patrol and there will be no record of hours.
Please do your required patrol hours Patrol Captains course Steve encourage members to do available to all patrolling members the course will be held 16-17th August 2008 southern area.
20th August 2008 northern area.
Also Catho now Good Sports Programme now accredited.
First Aid keys to be changed by Lake Macquarie Council issuing only a certain amount. Steve to organize. All keys to be checked and recorded in Key register.
Interbranch Carnival 13 and 14th December all hands on deck please organization is underway Wes to organize drivers and crewmen. State gives 5000.00 to assist not enough Steve to push for more funds from State.
Glen asked if the Committee can communicate to Branch regarding meetings, conferences etc, the cost and time involved to attend. He has been asked to attend 3 meetings on a Saturday this is impossible as he works. Meeting agreed. Steve to talk to Branch regarding these issues.
Dave our Licensee explained rules changing regarding our license, will discuss at our first meeting with his recommendations.
Steve congratulated the new Committee thanked the previous Committee
