Doyalo funds new rescue radios
The club was recently successful with a CDSE grant provided by the Doyalson RSL Club.
A detailed submission was prepared outlining an urgent need to replace ageing and unreliable radios was submitted to the Doyalson Wyee RSL Club in the recent round of 2008 C.D.S.E. applications.
Catherine Hill Bay SLSC was approved for the $5,000 donation towards the full funding of the base station upgrade, 4 x water resistant hand-held units and chargers including some electrical work to facilitate the equipment.

Catherine Hill Bay SLSC services a substantial demographic area comprising North to Swansea, West to Morisset/Cooranbong, and South to Bluehaven/Charmhaven area.
Communications for the use in patrol co-ordination and rescue demand such equipment. With the upcoming NSW Interbranch carnival, the equipment is sure to get a workout !

Seniors Presentation Night
A great night was had by all. Congratulations to Genelle Williams for taking out the Club Person of the Year Award. It is greatly deserved and a very popular decision. Well done to all the other winners on the night and good luck to all those who will be nominated for the Hunter Branch Awards.
A special mention must go to all the great singers on the night and also to the Catho pub for having us.
IRB Crewperson and Drivers
We desperately need some more drivers and crewies for the upcoming season and will be starting courses soon. If you are interested please contact Mitch Ford ASAP.
