Doyalo funds new rescue radios
The club was recently successful with a CDSE grant provided by the Doyalson RSL Club.
A detailed submission was prepared outlining an urgent need to replace ageing and unreliable radios was submitted to the Doyalson Wyee RSL Club in the recent round of 2008 C.D.S.E. applications.
Catherine Hill Bay SLSC was approved for the $5,000 donation towards the full funding of the base station upgrade, 4 x water resistant hand-held units and chargers including some electrical work to facilitate the equipment.

Catherine Hill Bay SLSC services a substantial demographic area comprising North to Swansea, West to Morisset/Cooranbong, and South to Bluehaven/Charmhaven area.
Communications for the use in patrol co-ordination and rescue demand such equipment. With the upcoming NSW Interbranch carnival, the equipment is sure to get a workout !

Surf Craft Purchase Plan
Catherine Hill Bay SLSC is pleased to announce that it has developed and implemented an innovative program to significantly reduce the financial burden to members of purchasing new surf craft (ie. nipper boards, racing mals and surf skis) for use in competition. For details of how the plan works (including examples) click here.
Members wishing to participate in the plan should obtain an application from the Club’s Director of Surf Sports, Paul Drake.
